Helena Mae Toler Brown, 72, of  Kopperston, WV lost her courageous battle with lung cancer on Saturday
August 11, 2018  at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. She was born on October 21, 1945 in Wyoming
County, WV a daughter of the late Lonnie and Pearl Osborne Toler. Helena was a retired hairdresser and
used to play softball where she was the pitcher. She loved her family, cats and flowers. She was a 1964
graduate of Oceana High School and a member of Bible Baptist Church where she loved to sing, play her
guitar and taught the Beginners and Primary class as a teacher / aide. In addition to her parents she is
preceded in death by her husband and love of her life of 46 years Raymond D. Brown; infant son; a sister;
and five brothers. Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters Lora Brown of Kopperston and
Carol (Lannie) Hoosier of Lynco; a step grandson Lannie  (Alicia Vanover) Hoosier, Jr. of Troutville, VA; two
brothers Carnell (Beth) Toler of Daniels and Raynell (Rita) Toler of Oak Hill; a sister-in-law Lula Belle Toler
of Kopperston; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on
Thursday August 16th at the Bible Baptist Church, Kopperston, WV with Rev. Earl Brewer and Rev. David
Johnson officiating. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.  Friends may gather
with the family from Noon until time of services  on Thursday August 16th at the church. Pallbearers will
be Chris Toler, Eddie Dean, Leonard Gibson, Mark Aguilar, Roy Toler and Billy Gibson. The family would like
to send  a very special thanks to Rebecca Blackburn, her cousin for helping her daughters with her care at
home and cooking for them, and the staff of Hospice of Southern WV for the wonderful care provided to

Shelba Jean Cook, 81, of  Briar Creek, WV passed away on Saturday August 11, 2018 at Raleigh General
Hospital, Beckley, WV. She was born on February 21, 1937 in Littwar, WV a daughter of the late Hobert and
Gracie Casteel Cook. Shelba attended several local churches. In addition to her parents she is preceded in
death by two brothers James "JW" Cook and Billy Cook; and two sisters Ruby Patrick and Loraine Mitchell.
Survivors include two sisters Betty Campbell of Kinnelon, NJ and JoAnn Collins of Williamson; a brother
Curtis Cook of DeSoto, MS; special nephew Jeffrey Patrick of Briar Creek; and a host of nieces, nephews
and other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Friday August 17th at the
Clear Fork Independent Church of God, Clear Fork, WV with Pastor Hannibal Blankenship, Jr. and Rev.
Tommy Knotts officiating. She will be laid to rest in Short Cemetery, Briar Creek, WV. Friends may gather

Ethel DeLong Osborne Workman, 78, of  Cyclone, WV passed away on Thursday August 16, 2018 at Trinity
Health Center, Logan, WV. She was born on March 21, 1940 in Vanlear, KY a daughter of the late George
and Maxie Collins DeLong.  Ethel was a beautician for over 30 years and loved to go shopping. In addition
to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband Beecher Harold Osborne; her second husband
Junior Rush Workman; a son Gregory Alan "Sharky" Osborne; a grandson Billy Ray "Trey" Hurley; and a
brother George DeLong, Jr. Survivors include a daughter Cyndi Hurley of Logan County; two sons Bob
(Rosey) Osborne and Brian (Kim) Workman all of Cyclone; eight grandchildren Bobby Osborne, Jr., Tre'
Hurley, Ashley Toler, Kerri Short, Kate Godfrey, Baylee Hurley, Alyssa Hurley and Kelsey Osborne; nine
great grandchildren Hayden Godfrey, Harlow Osborne, Keelyn Osborne, Rian Osborne, Ashtyn Toler,
Mason Short, Grayson Short, Aubree Godfrey, and Wesley Godfrey; two sisters Innis (Roland) Osborne of
Gilman Bottom and Betty (Ray) Davis of Prestonsburg, KY; a brother Aaron (Anna Jean) DeLong of
Kopperston; her special caregivers Linda Workman and her granddaughter Kelsey Osborne both of Cyclone;
and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on

Barbara Sue Stone Wheeler, 66, of  Oceana, WV went home to be with the Lord August 20, 2018 at
Wyoming Nursing and Rehabilitation, New Richmond, WV following a long illness. Born July 17, 1952 in
Pineville, WV a daughter of the late William and Bernice Barrett Stone. Sue was a member of Faith Baptist
Church of Matheny and a 1971 graduate of Baileysville High School. She was a homemaker and loved her
family very much.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Chere Lynn Short
which she loved more than life; a brother Jerry Stone; and a sister Ivalene Trent. Those left to cherish her
memory are five brothers Ted Stone of Brookport, OH, Jack (Maxine) Stone of Highpoint, NC, Stanley
(Violet) Stone of Lexington, NC, Major (Kate) Stone of North Ridgeville, OH and Darrell (Robyn) Stone of
Pineville; two sisters Wanda Farley of Pineville and Ruby Sizemore of Lexington, NC; two grandchildren
which she helped raise Kayla (Garrett) Gunnells of Hanover and Garrett (Kimmie) Short  of Hanover; three
great granddaughters Allie Sue Gunnells, Bynlee Jade Gunnells and Sophie Lynne Short and another one on
the way; her dog Tim which she loved dearly; and a host of nieces, nephews and family and friends. Funeral
services will be held at 1PM on Thursday August 23rd in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco,
WV with Pastor Johnny Toler officiating. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.

Homer Randolph Toler, 68, of  Glen Rogers, WV passed away on Saturday August 25, 2018 at Pikeville
Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. He was born on October 21, 1949 in Simon, WV a son of the late Troy and
Maysie Justice Toler. Homer is a member of the UMWA and a 1968 graduate of Baileysville High School. In
addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two sisters Nancy Jean Hatfield and Sarah Kitty
Epperhart; and a brother Gerald Toler. Survivors include three daughters  Shannon Renae (Jeremy) Perry of
OH, Kayla Dawn (Chris) Browning of Gilbert and Amber Lea (Mike) Messer of Winston Salem, NC; two sons
Jason Troy (Brianna) Toler of Coal Mountain and Nolan Blake Toler of Cedar Creek; six sisters Margie
McClellan of Oceana, Audria Toler Goins of Beckley, Sharon (Clint) Toler of Simon, Carol Blair of Portage,
IN, Sally (Junior) Stewart of Oceana and Betty (Allen) Blankenship of Clear Fork; two brothers Kenneth
(Shirley) Toler and Tommy (Leda) Toler all of Clear Fork; eleven grandchildren Jaydon Shawn Browning,

Wanda Sue Daniels Gibson, 68, of  Oceana, WV went home to be with the Lord August 26, 2018 at her
home. She was born on April 19, 1950 in Phelps, KY a daughter of the late James Earl and Winnie Lockhart
Daniels. Wanda is a member of the Toneda Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is
preceded in death by a brother Junior Daniels and wife Iris Mae; a sister Glenna  Willis; and two nephews
Lewis Daniels, Jr. and Lewis Sanders. Survivors include her loving husband William Dink Gibson; three
daughters Cindi (Jeff) Stewart of Huntersville, NC, Karrie Richardson of Martinsville, VA and Lethea
(Byron) Smith of Princeton; three grandchildren Corey Gibson, Finn Smith and Cannon Smith; two sisters
Betty Cooper of OH and Nancy (Robert) Snider of NC; a special friend that was like a sister Glenna Toler;

Rosetta Marie "Rose" Atwell, 68, of  Oceana, WV received her ultimate healing and resting in the arms of
Jesus on Thursday September 6, 2018 at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. She was born on December
13, 1949 in Beckley, WV a daughter of the late Virgil Walker and Beatrice Wray. Rose was of the Apostolic
Faith. She enjoyed feeding and watching her birds, spending time with her family, talking with her sister
Coetta and going to Pigeon Forge, TN.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband
Verlin Harless Atwell; a brother Clayton Wray; special nephew Randy Stafford; son-in-law Richard
Buckland; and Daisey Mae Wray and Harry Belcher who lovingly raised her. Survivors include four
daughters Vanessa Buckland of Beckley, Lora Atwell of Pineville, Cynthia Atwell and Amanda Atwell both
of Oceana; a son William Atwell of Oceana; three sisters Coetta Atwell of Oceana, Jackie Craddock and
Volita Vanber both of MD; two brothers Hershel Wray of IN and Henry Conner of MD; four grandchildren
Richard Buckland, Ashley Parton, Adrian Adkins and Gracelynn Rose Atwell; a great grandchild Aiden

Olivia Lavonne Tilley Allen, 75, of  Beckley, WV passed away on Thursday September 6, 2018 at Cedar Ridge
Center, Sissonville, WV. She was born on January 13, 1943 in Pineville, WV a daughter of the late Paul and
Eileen Cook Tilley. Olivia cherished all children.  She is a member of the UMWA and after working 24 years
she retired from the coal mines. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two sons Brian and
Darren Spears. Survivors include four daughters Lawana (Jesse) Meade of Bolt, Leisa (Eddie) Lester of
Chapmanville, Libby (Terrance) Allison of Bolt and Connie West of Lakin; two sons Randy Spears and
companion Alma of Bolt and Shawn (Margie) Spears of Pineville; a sister Sandra (Richard) Hatfield of
Beckley; two brothers Doug (Peggy) Tilley of CA and Robert (Carolin) Tilley of Beckley;  her long time
companion Rhul Barken of Ashford; twenty grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and a host of

Anthony "Pete" Dwayne Monk, II, 26, of  Mullens, WV passed away on Friday September 7, 2018 at Ruby
Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV following a short illness. He was born on June 24, 1992 in Beckley,
WV a son of Nina McKendree Noon and Darrell Trent of Rockview and the late Anthony Dwayne Monk and
the father who raised him Robert Noon of MD. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his
grandfathers James McKendree and Fred Monk; and a cousin Aleah McKendree.  In addition to his mother
survivors include his fiancé Caitlyn Davis of Mullens; a daughter Allannah Monk of Mullens; six brothers
Mark Noon of Sophia, Nickolas Noon of Mullens, Keith Hatfield of Indian Creek, Dustin Trent of Cabin

Theodore Kaboose Blankenship, 82, of  Pineville, WV went home to be with Jesus on Saturday September 8,
2018 at Bowers Hospice House Beckley, WV following a long illness. He was born on November 17, 1935 in
Itman, WV a son of the late Morgan and Cordia Adkins Blankenship. In addition to his parents he is
preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law Leonard and Mae Bailey; eight brothers Roy, Coy Eugene
Morris, Dennis, Robert, James and Elden; and a sister Pauletta. Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years
Myrtle; a daughter Patty and her loving husband Ralph Kirk; a son James Todd Mullens; a grandson James
Edward Mullens; a sister Letha Allen; his many nieces who loved him dearly; all of his camping buddies that
he loved so much; his brothers and sisters-in-laws that he loved like his own family and were such a
blessing to us; his pastor Justin Farley and his wife Cherri; his church family; and a host of other loving

Glenna Sue Belcher, 53, of  Glen Fork, WV went home to be with the Lord on Sunday September 9, 2018 at
Raleigh General Hospital, WV. She was born on October 8, 1964 in Mullens, WV a daughter of the late Bill
Ray and Phostina Blankenship Belcher. Glenna is a member of the Russell Missionary Baptist Church. In
addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters Melonie Fruia and Tina Belcher; and two
brothers Charlie and Raymond Belcher. Survivors include a daughter Misty (Ronnie) McComas of Glen Fork;
two sons Billy Joe (Pamela) Belcher of Oceana and Zachary (Desirea) Mullins of Glen Fork; two brothers

Darrell Wayne Dotson, 64, of  Oceana, WV departed this life on Tuesday September 11, 2018 at Raleigh
General Hospital, Beckley, WV. He was born on April 1, 1954 in Iaeger, WV a son of Gladys Allen Dotson of
Bull Creek and the late George  Dotson. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by two brothers
Ralph David Dotson and Mickey Roy Dotson. He was a loving father, grandfather , great grandfather , son,
brother, friend and neighbor. Darrell was a roofer and logger for many years. In addition to his mother
survivors include a son Keith Dotson; a daughter Amy (Les Justice) Dotson of Bluefield; grandchildren
Justin Dewayne Blankenship, Amber Mae Blankenship, Wyatt Wayne Dotson, Sheyanne Bethany Dotson
and their mother Lisa Blankenship, and Blake Alexander Justice; and great granddaughter LeAnna Mae
Mullins; ex-wife Lucille Patrick of Bluefield; girlfriend Connie Sprouse of Oceana; brothers Ronnie

Asa Urias Peters, 79, of  Mullens, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday September 10, 2018 at
Wyoming Nursing and Rehabilitation, New Richmond, WV.  He was born on August 8, 1939 in Bald Knob,
WV a son of the late Rev. Herbert and Martha Osborne Peters. Asa was the last surviving member of his
immediate family and he attended the Jesus Way Church. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death
by his wife Easter Bailey Peters; four sisters Belva Peters, Clara White, Ruth Isom and Dica Osborne; four
brothers Lester Peters, John Henry Peters, Mavis Peters and Rev. Robert Peters; two nieces Opal Brewster
and Rosa Cook; two nephews Harold Isom and Eugene Isom. Survivors include fifteen nieces and nephews;

Ina Jean New, 55, of Brenton, WV entered her heavenly home on Tuesday September 11, 2018 after a long
illness at CAMC General, Charleston, WV. She was born on July 27, 1963 in Baileysville, WV a daughter of
Geraldine New of Brenton and the late Eugene New. Ina was a member of the Mill Creek Freewill Baptist
Church and the Brenton Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to her father Eugene New, a son Johnny
New also preceded her in death. Ina enjoyed camping, fishing and many other outdoor activities. She
most enjoyed spending time with her grandbabies and family. Those left to cherish her memories are her
loving mother Geraldine New of Brenton; a son Roy New and wife Christie of Glover; her grandbabies

Cheryl Lynn Trump, 48, of McGraws, WV went home to be with the Lord on Friday September 14, 2018 after
a long hard illness. She was born on March 9, 1970 in Stuart, FL a daughter of Shirley Ann Estep Lafferty of
McGraws and the late Jerry Roger Trump. Cheryl attended the Church of God. She suffered so much but
never complained, always smiling and lifting other people up even through her own suffering. In addition
to her father she is preceded in death by her step-father Ira V. Lafferty; and grandparents Robert and Lola
Estep and Ida and Bill Gambone. In addition to her mother survivors include a son Aaron Tyler Chase
Faulkner of McGraws; two brothers Jay (Jennifer) Trump of Chapmanville and Brian (Angela) Trump of
Beckley; aunt and second mom Linda Carter of Mullens; uncle Ted Trump of McGraws; her five fur babies;

Annette Lafferty Tilley, 56, of Glen Rogers, WV passed away on Tuesday September 18, 2018 in St. Mary's
Hospital, Huntington, WV. She was born on September 8, 1962 in Mullens, WV a daughter of the late Ross
"Whitt" and Shirley Douglas Lafferty. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a sister Cheryl
Griffith; and two brothers Mark and Eugene Lafferty. Survivors include her loving husband of 39 years
Joseph Tilley; two daughters Selina (Joey) Wimmer and Delilah (Chad) Brown; grandchildren Emaly Starr

late Perry and Sina Maynard Brooks. She is a member of the UAW Union and the last survivor of her

Mary Francis Hatfield Jordan, 87, of Clear Fork, WV gained her angel wings and went to be with the Lord on
October 7, 2018 at her home. She was born on February 21, 1931 in Simon, WV a daughter of the late George
and Annie Ellen Toler Hatfield. She leaves behind her little dog Babe and her family who she loved very
much. She always greeted anyone with a smile and a hug. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death
by her husband Everett Jordan; sisters Juanita Cline, Amol Hall, Mona Whittaker, Eva Carter, Martha Craft,
Elvira Blankenship; infant sisters Genevia, Antha and Clarice Hatfield; brothers Everett Hatfield and Arvil
Hatfield; a daughter-in-law she was close to Connie Jordan; and grandson David Jordan.  Survivors include

Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA following a long illness. He was born on February 5, 1947 a son
of the late Betty Lucille Neely Maynard. David is a United States Army Veteran serving at Camp Carrol,
South Korea and a member of the UMWA. He is preceded in death by his father and mother Wade and Betty
Neely Maynard; and a brother Dale Maynard. He leaves behind four children Steven Neely of Kopperston,
Davina Neely and companion Steven Ritchie of Kopperston, David Neely of Crossville, TN and Brandi Welch
of Crossville, TN; ten grandchildren Nathan, Wade, Kailey, Breana, Brandon, Hannah, Micka, Macy, Cherish

16, 2018 at Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan, WV. She was born on July 3, 1937 in Litwar, WV a
daughter of the late Jessie Bennett and Mary Louise Lester. Bessie loved making prayer clothes. In addition
to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Guy Belcher, Sr.; three children Guy Belcher, Jr.,
Marcella Trent, Dale Belcher and great grandson Isaiah Jacob Belcher; three sisters Margrett Paynter, Hazel
Lambert and Lillian Powers; three brothers Ralph Lester, Ringo Lester and her twin brother Herb Lester.
Survivors include three children Marie (Lanny) Jordan of Clear Fork, Roger (Barbara) Belcher of Oceana and
Angie Lester of Oceana; two sisters Jessie Thornsbury of Oceana and Patrisha Langford of Grant, AL; two

Stephen Ray "Poppy" Johnston, 70, of Hanover, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday October
20, 2018 in Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan, WV. He was born on January 19, 1948 in Rock House
Mountain, WV a son of the late Onnie Dee and Thelma Mae Jones Johnston. Stephen is a United States Army
Veteran where he served in Korea with the 567th Med. Co (AMB), a member of the UMWA, he worked 33
1/2 years as a belt mechanic in the mines and retired from Pinnacle Mining in 2003 and attended Hanover
Missionary Baptist Church. Stephen loved going to church, working in the garden, being outdoors watching
the birds. He enjoyed doing wood work and loved spending time with his family and friends. He always put
others first and enjoyed helping people out. Poppy loved hanging out with his "side kick" granddaughter
Holly. Above all Stephen loved God and serving him. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. In
addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Ralph Johnston; a sister Eleanor Woolum; an
infant brother Frank Johnston; and an infant sister. Survivors include his loving wife of almost 51 years

Clinton "Bill" Carter, 78, of Jesse, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday October 20, 2018 in
Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV following a sudden illness. He was born on December 23, 1939 in
Uno, WV a son of the late Garland Bud and Stella Florence Brinegar Carter. Bill was a janitor for the
Wyoming County Board of Education for 31 years. After retiring Bill enjoyed spending time with his dog
Wolfie. When able he liked to play bingo and yard sale. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by
a sister Helen Workman; and three brothers Arley "Buddy" Carter, Roger Carter and Roy Lee Carter.

Barbara Jewell Brown, 81 of Kopperston, WV passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Hubbard
Hospice House, Charleston WV after a long illness.  Born October 23, 1937 in Jesse, WV, she was the
daughter of the late Harrison & Virginia Jewell.  Mrs. Brown was a devoted wife, mom, mawmaw, sister,
and a friend to many.  Mrs. Brown had a servant’s heart and before her illness was the first to deliver food
to sick and shut ins in the community and church family.  She was the family prayer warrior standing in the
gap many days and nights for her family. Mrs. Brown retired from Goodson’s Supermarket and Village
Insurance Agency.  In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by the love of her life, husband,
Horace Brown, a daughter, Rhonda, granddaughter Beth Ann Clark; brothers Junior, Vermon, & Olan Jewell,
sisters, Ada Brooks, Zelma Stewart, Loretta Canterbury and Glenna Gilkeson.  Mrs. Brown is survived by,

Patsy Marlene Lusk, 55 of Cyclone, WV passed away on Monday November 5, 2018 in Logan Regional
Medical Center, Logan, WV. She was born on July 31, 1963 in Man, WV a daughter of the late Shelley and
Brookie Osborne Lusk. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters Brady Osborne and
Wanda Watts. Mrs. Lusk was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Wyoming County. Patsy's favorite
hobbies were fishing, playing games and being with her family. She is a member of the Bright Prospect
Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Those left to cherish her

Roger Pettry, 74, of Ravencliff, WV went home to be with Jesus on Friday November 9, 2018 at his home.
He was born on June 17, 1944 in Charleston, WV a son of the late James and Pansy Crank Pettry. Mr. Pettry
was of the Baptist faith and worked for the DOH. He loved fishing, hunting, and working on cars. He will be
sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving
wife of 55 years Jewell Maxine "Judy" Pettry; a daughter Patricia Kay Tilley; a granddaughter Mary

Hughie, Lonnie, Jerry, Stevie, Dustin and Mack West; his sisters Geneva Hatfield-West, Florene
Woodruff-West, Susie West-Laney and Patsy West-Carter.  Those left to cherish and honor his memories
and morn his passing are his two sons Freddie Lee (Devonna) West II of Kopperston and Adam Shane
(Angela) West of Clear Fork;  mother of his sons Linda Staton-West of Melbourne, FL; five loving
grandchildren that was dear to his heart Cory Lee West of Beckley, Colton Shane West of Clear Fork, Caleb
Lee West of Kopperston, Latachia Miller of Madison and Jason Scarlett of Kopperston; two great
grandchildren Caydem Lee West and Cayson Grant West of Beckley; sisters Irene West-Cline of Brenton,
Gracie (Ed) West Browning-Munroe of Davy, Dixie (Ray) West Lusk of Davy and Kathy Woodruff of Justice;
brother Gerald West of Brenton and a host of family and friends. Freddie was retired from Island Creek
Coal/Consol and enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family and most of all telling stories of the
past. He is a United States Army Veteran. Funeral services at 1:30 on Thursday November 15th at Stafford
Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Ricky Proffitt and Pastor David Johnson officiating. His final
resting place will be at the West Family Cemetery, Rock House, WV. The Wyoming County Veterans Honor
Guard will conduct Military Rites. Friends may gather from 6-9 Wednesday November 14th at the funeral
home. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.          
Earl John Ballard "Squirrel"  Patrick, 60, of Baileysville, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday
November 12, 2018 at his home. He was born on January 22, 1958 in Iaeger, WV a son of the late Robert
and Georgia Lee Bledsoe Patrick. Earl attended the Harvest Center Ministry's. In addition to his parents he
is preceded in death by his grandparents Ballard and Nettie Bledsoe and John and Verdia Patrick; two
sisters Ollie Patrick and Julie Toler;  and uncle Buddy Lee Patrick. Survivors include his loving wife Sondra
Lynn Wiles Payne Patrick; a daughter Whitney Danielle  (Daniel) Finney of Pineville; two sons Brandon
John (Rebeckah) Patrick of Baileysville and Joshua Keaton (Billie) Patrick of Hanover; the mother of his
children Sherry Patrick Short (Nelson) of Welch; three step sons Joseph (Jessica) Payne of Mullens,
Matthew (Krystal) Payne of Bluefield and Samuel (Stephanie) Payne of Mullens; four sisters Kathyrene
Miliam of Simon, Jean Roberts of Oceana, Helen Bishop of  Rock Mount, VA and Kay (Ted) Thompson of
Glade Hill, VA; five grandchildren Bre, Sydney, Daxton, Asa and Briston; ten step grandchildren Jacob,
Joseph, Jazlynn, Jace, Maddox, Macaiah, Makenzie, Isaiah, Nicole and MaKaylee; aunt Dorthy Baisden of
Wharncliffe; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on
Saturday November 17th at the Harvest Center Ministry's, Welch- Pineville Road with Pastor Michael
Brooks officiating. He will be laid to rest in Clarence Cline Cemetery, Gilbert Creek, WV. Friends may gather
with the family after 6PM on Friday November 16th at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Elder Lewis William Lester, 86, of Jesse , WV went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday November 13, 2018
at CAMC Memorial, Charleston, WV. He was born on August 13, 1932 in Baileysville, WV a son of the late
Fred Lewis and Edna Barett Lester. Lewis was a United States Korean Army Veteran and a recipient of the
Purple Heart. He was a retired bus driver for the Wyoming County Board of Education; a member of the
VFW, DAV, American Legion and the Wyoming County Honor Guard. In addition to his parents he is
preceded in death by his wife Clara Jean Sizemore Lester; and two brothers Dale Lester and John Allen
Lester. Survivors include  his children James  Earl (Sheena) Osborne of Gilbert, Ricky Gene (Kathy) Osborne
of Jesse, Tammy Victoria (Steven) Bailey of NC, Richard Lester of SC and Jeffery Dean Lester of CA; a sister
Faye Stewart and husband of Roanoke, VA; a brother Edgel Lester and wife of Biloxi, MS; and a host of
other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Monday November 19th in the
Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens,
Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from Noon until time of services on Monday November
19th at the funeral home. The Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard will conduct Military Rites. The
