Arminta "Minnie" Osborne, 85, of Curtis, WV passed away on Thursday October 22, 2020 at her home. She was
born on April 14, 1935 in Boone County, WV a daughter of the late Charlie and Nora Gunnoe Osborne. Minnie
loved beads, jewelry, coloring and sitting outside on the porch. In addition to her parents she is preceded in
death by four sisters Sarah Osborne, Angeline Osborne Felty, Mary Lou "Bobbie" Osborne and Daisy Osborne
Gibson; and a brother John William Osborne. Those left to cherish her memory are a sister Fannie Hurley of
Low Gap; a brother Arthur Osborne of Curtis; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great
great nieces, great great nephews and a host of other loving family and friend. Funeral service will be held at 1

Roy Mosley, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at his home.  Known to many as
“PawPaw Roy”, he was born on April 15th, 1940, in Glen Rogers, WV a  son of the late John Moseley and Violet
Stewart-Moseley. Roy served four years in the United States Marine Corps and was a Jack-of-all-trades
thereafter. He diligently tried to help others learn what he had learned and took every opportunity to pass
along the knowledge he had acquired with a lifetime of experience to all around him. Roy loved to spend time
with his family and friends throughout his entire life. Ever present in his children, grandchildren, and great-
grandchildren’s lives, he was a fixture around which they all drew strength. Roy is going home to reunite with
those who are in the Lord’s presence before him to include his parents John and Violet; his brothers Bill, Jack,
and Ted; and his sisters Lucille, Alice, and Dixie. Roy left a lasting impression on everyone he met in life. Among
those left to cherish the memories and experiences shared with him are his wife Marilyn Greer Mosley; his
brother Jerry Mosley and wife Barbara; children Richard (Antje), Joshua (Natalie), Thaddeaus (Sylvia), Cody
(Mary), Donald Purdue (Angela), and Shawn; grandchildren Cory, Brianna, Nicholas, Alex, Skyler Mosley Bailey
(Gabe), Hailey Mitchell (Thomas), Dakoda, Haley, Abbigail, Annalee, John, and Kenlee; great-grandchildren
Amiah Fuller, Ridlee Bailey, Octavia Mitchell; nieces and nephews; extended family; and friends to include Larry

Anthony Wayne Stewart, 62, of Oceana, WV passed away on Wednesday October 21, 2020 at Raleigh General
Hospital, Beckley, WV. He was born on June 10, 1958 in Mullens, WV a son of the late Herndon P. and Earnie
Toler Stewart. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter Leann Stewart; and two brothers
Paris Stewart and Joseph Leon Stewart. Anthony is of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his loving wife Joyce

Winford Cledith Workman, 93, of Matheny, WV went home to be with his Great God Jehovah on October 18,
2020 at Bower’s Hospice House, Beckley, WV. He was born on February 19, 1927 in Wyoming County, WV a son
of the late George Floyd and Susie Jane Mullens Workman. He was a United States Navy veteran serving in
World War II. He was a member of the UMWA and Matheny United Methodist Church. He loved God, country,
and family. He enjoyed spending time in Oceana putting a smile on people’s faces with his charm and jokes. In
addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Thelma Mae Linkous Workman and 12

Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He was born on January 17, 1957 in Pineville, WV a son of the late
Tennis Fred and Gladys Jackson Cook. Kenny was an avid WVU, Marshall and LA Lakers fan. He loved his
Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity brothers, and playing golf. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a

Roy Lee "Big Foot" Blankenship, Sr., 67, of Skin Fork, formerly of Long Branch made his flight to glory on
Saturday October 3, 2020. He was born on March 10, 1953 in Mullens, WV a son of the late Levi and Betty Jo
Kennedy Blankenship. Roy Lee worked 16 years in the coal mines. He was a devoted and loving husband and
father. A loyal CB friend, avid coon hunter, fisherman and enjoyed spending time on New River. After 18 years
of sincere prayers he surrendered his heart to the Lord on December 25, 1996. He ministered 24 years and
touched countless lives. He was assistant Pastor of  Brenton Community Church. In addition to his parents he is
preceded in death by his first wife Patricia Gay Blankenship; his brothers Leman  Blankenship and Ozzie May.
Survivors include his wife  of 15 years Barbara McKinneyBlankenship; three sons Allen (Heather) Blankenship of

Glenn Morgan, 76, of North Spring, WV passed away on Sunday November 8, 2020 at his home. He was born
on May 20, 1944 in North Spring, WV a son of the late Rush Andy and Mary Elizabeth Cook Morgan. Glenn is a
United States Army Veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include a daughter Jeannie

Howard Allen, 90, of Lynco, passed away Monday, November 9, 2020, at Bower’s Hospice House in Beckley,
WV surrounded by his family. Born July 13, 1930 a son of the late John Arthur and Mary Erma Graham Allen.
Mr. Allen, who was often referred to as an “humble and gentle soul”, began working at the age of 15, helping
his dad cutting trees. He later worked at a local sawmill and railroad before being employed for 34 years in
the coal mines, a profession he loved and often reminisced about. He loved working in his garden and
“hanging out” in his garage. He enjoyed most spending time with his family. He also was an avid musician
and could play just about any stringed instrument. He played music and sang in a bluegrass group called the
Happy Mountain Quartet on the radio in earlier years, and played the guitar for country music star, Mel
Street, on WHIS-TV before Street gained stardom. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two
brothers, Wilson Allen and Henry Allen; three sisters, Ruth Cook, Virginia Rollins and Willa Brown; and two
sons-in-law, James E. Lupardus and Charles R. “Randy” Cline. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mary
Griffith Allen of Lynco; a daughter, Angela Cline Mollette and her husband Arnold, of Pineville; a son, Marty
Allen and his wife, Paula, of Lynco; two sisters, Dolly Dean of Crouch’s Farm and Hilda Taylor of Charleston; a
brother, Carl Allen of Sunhill; two grandsons, Alex Allen, and his wife, Tanna, of Lynco, and Adam Toler and
his wife Becca of Charleston ; three great-grandchildren, Brayden and Lindsee Allen, both of Lynco, and Alexis

Judy Alice Tilley Elkins, 74, of Bluefield, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday September 22, 2020 at
Princeton Community Hospital, Princeton, WV. She was born on August 12, 1946 in Oceana, WV a daughter of
the late Roy Estil and Marion Virginia Bailey Tilley. She loved going to the beach.  She loved to sit on her porch
and watch it rain.  She loved to read a good book.  She loved her family.  She was a good daughter, a good wife,
a good mother, a good sister and a good friend.  She was a faithful member of the Bellmeade Missionary
Baptist Church of Sabine.  She was a strong lady, who faced many hardships in life, but never gave up.  And she
was loved! She is now in heaven with her son, David Elkins, her husband Jackie Lee Elkins and her Dad and Mom,
Roy and Marion Tilley. What a glorious reunion she now enjoys with these loved ones and with her beloved

Mary Ellen Trent Wykle, 57, of Lillydale, WV, passed away on Monday September 28, 2020 at her home. She was
born on June 7, 1963 in Mullens, WV a daughter of the late Roy and Ruth Ellen Burford Trent. Mary is a 1981
graduate of Oceana High School, and attended Southern WV Community and Technical College. She drove a
school bus for 32 years for the Wyoming County Board of Education and is a WVSSPA PAC member. Mary was a
loving mother and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.  She is preceded in death by four
brother-in-laws James Smith, Teddy Wykle, Johny Lamb and Sonny Urps; three sister-in-laws Brenda Wykle,

Barbara Jean Rowe Cline, 79, of Clear Fork, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday September 21,
2020 in CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV. She was born on August 3, 1941 in Logan, WV a daughter
of the late James and Marie Morgan Rowe. Barbara was one of the most, caring, loving, generous people on
this earth. Her smile was like a glimmer of light and her laughter warmed the heart. She lived for her family.
They were her everything, and she was loved and adored by them all. Although she suffered from illness most
of her life, she always found a positive, she never let it wear her down. A mighty fighter with strong spiritual
convictions. She looked to the Heavenly Father her strength. I know she's singing God's praises as she
reunites with her love and life partner in Heaven, surrounded by the angels and the good Lord above. She is at

Ann Clark Kelly, 61, of Oceana, WV passed away on Sunday November 22, 2020 at Bowers Hospice House,
Beckley, WV. She was born on April 12, 1959 in Man, WV a daughter of the late Ernest Denver and Rosie Mae
Elkins Clark. Ann always had a positive outlook on life and smiled through the bad times. She loved talking
on the phone and watching wrestling. Loved going to fishing tournaments, spending time with her
grandchildren and enjoyed watching her son coach football. Ann lived in Ohio a lot of her life but even when
she did, she enjoyed spending her vacations with family in WV. In addition to her parents she is preceded in
death by a son Nicholas Kelly; and siblings Ernest Clark, June Roupe, Dan Clark and Glendale Clark. Survivors
include her children Josh (Brittany) Kelly, Brittany Kelly and Whitney Kelly; grandchildren Brooklyn Kelly,
Victoria Kelly, Londyn Kelly, D. J. Crooks, Waverly Griffith and Jaxon Kelly; siblings Charles Clark of
Kimbolton, OH, Robert Clark of Oceana, Doug Clark of Oceana, Drema Sue Adkins of Beaver and Phoebe
Price of Oceana; her ex husband George Kelly; and special friend Billy Kovach; and a host of other loving
family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday November 27th in the Chapel of Stafford
Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV. She will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV.  Friends
may gather with the family from 12pm until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations

Obituaries
Coy Blake Acord, 71, of Matheny, WV went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2020 at Wyoming
Nursing and Rehab Center following a long illness. He was born on January 18, 1949 in Oceana, WV a son of
the late Henderson Pierce Acord and the late Delilah Gaye Acord Reed and Herbert Reed. Coy was a retired
customer service rep for the print shop industry in the Washington, D. C. area. He loved fishing and being
around family. He also loved spending time at the cabin. Coy never met a stranger and loved joking and
making everyone laugh. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter Jenny
Acord-McMaugh; and brothers Pierce Acord, Aubrey Acord, Franklin Acord and Kennie Acord. Those left to
cherish his memory include his wife Lottic Odom-Acord; daughter Katherine Acord; son Caleb Acord;
grandchildren Carter, Jacob, Dylan, Tara and Logan; sisters Nancy Jean Frazier, Clarice K. Bailey, Linda G.
(Dewey) Lilly, Eileen R. Stewart and Earlia D. (Jack) Reed-Derringer; brother Steve (Shirley) Reed; three very
special sisters-in-law Glenna Acord, Peggy Acord and Sue Acord; and a host of nieces, nephews and other
loving family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held at 1 pm on Saturday November 28, 2020 in
the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Randy Lee officiating. Friends may gather with
the family on Saturday from 12 pm until time of service at the funeral home. In keeping with his wishes he

Billy Ray Graham, 38, of Mullens, WV passed away on Thursday November 19, 2020 at Beckley Appalachian
Regional Hospital,  Beckley, WV. He was born on December 6, 1981 in Man, WV the son of Gevondelon Lee
George Graham of Mullens, WV and the late Jimmy Dale Graham. He was also proceeded in death by his
grandparents Jimmy and Beatrice George and Tilden and Nancy Graham; uncle Robert George; and cousin
Jeremy Smith.  Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his mother are his sister Courtney Hassan of
Beckley; two nieces Sophia Lester and Xeriya Hassan; companion Linda Mullen; aunt Lienece Combs of Glen
Rogers; cousin Clarence Miller of Matheny; uncle James George of Mullens; cousins Nathaniel Combs, Willie
and Kim Smith, William Smith, Emily Miller, Adam George, Sandra Hines, Joy Terry, Johnny (Beverly) Combs,
and James Combs; and a host of other loving family and friends.  Funeral service will be held at 6 pm
Saturday November 28th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV, with Rev. Earnest
Francis, III officiating.  Friends may gather with the family from 5 pm until time of service on Saturday at
the funeral home. In keeping with wishes he will be cremated following the service.  The family is being

Irene Lena West Cline, 86, of Brenton, WV passed away on Monday November 23, 2020 at Beckley
Appalachian Regional Hospital, Beckley, WV. She was born on February 22, 1934 in Hanover, WV a daughter
of the late Morris and Nora Lester West. Irene loved quilting, flowers, gardening and her dog Lady. In
addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Earl Cline; six brothers Rayvon, Jerry,
Lonnie, Mack, Freddie and Stevie West; and four sisters Geneva Hatfield, Florene Woodruff, Susie Laney and
Patsy Carter. Survivors include three daughters Sandra (Jerry) Toler, Rita (Danny) Toler all of Sunhill, and
Patsy (Randy) Kennedy of Brenton; two sons Eddie Cline and Troy Nipper of Indian Creek and Randall
(Angie) Cline of Brenton; two sisters Gracie (Ed) Monroe and Dixie (Ray) Lusk all of Brier Creek; a brother
Gerald West of Justice; a daughter-in-law Jewel Short of Lynco; nine grandchildren Sherry (Robert) Hunt,
Patrick Toler, Farrah (Justin) Walker, Kayla (Will) Daniels, Matthew (Brittany) Cline, Jessica Cline, Corey
(Samantha) Kennedy, Waylon Cline and Paige (Ryan) Miller; eight great grandchildren; one great great
grandchild and another one due in May 2021; and a host of other loving family and friends. Graveside service
will be held at 2 pm on Sunday November 29th at Beaver Cemetery, Baileysville, WV with Rev. Ervin Lee and
Rev. Robert Hunt officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons. The family is being served
by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.

Linda Sue Cline Toler, 75, of Oceana, WV went home to be with the Lord on Thursday November 26, 2020.
She was born on July 4, 1945 in Wyoming County, WV a daughter of the late Verner George and Dicie
Ethelene Kennedy. Linda attended the Apostolic House of Faith. In addition to her parents she is preceded in
death by an infant son Vernise William Osborne; two sisters Arbutis Morgan and Brenda Cline; and three
brothers Buell, Bobby and Freddie Cline. Survivors include her husband of 35 years James Toler; a daughter
Buffy (Tony) Cline of North Spring; a son Shane (Kelsey) Toler of Oceana; six sisters Geneva Belcher of
Oceana, Glenda Morgan of Oceana, Margene Sowards of Simon, Roberta (Ronald) Kenneda of Simon, Carol
(Donald) Kenneda of Simon and Leasa (Christopher) Blankenship of Baileysville; eight grandchildren Miley
Toler, Branson Toler, Haley (Brett) Evans, Whitney Cline, Chloe Cline, Brody Cline, McKahla Cline and Raylin
Jones; two great grandchildren Lauryn Blankenship and Indie Lee Cisco; and a host of nieces, nephews and

Rev. Firg Anderson Proffitt, 92, of Oceana, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday November 25,
2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on November 27, 1927 in Simon, WV a son of the
late Herman and Cora Blankenship Proffitt.  He was of the Pentecostal Faith and attended Family Praise and
Worship Center, he was a minister for over 63 years and was pastor of several Pentecostal churches. Firg's
favorite color was red, he loved to garden, grow flowers and travel to Tennessee. He loved his cat Baby and
his chickens. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by Sadie Kenneda and Wirt Blankenship who
raised him; his first wife Louise Cline Proffitt; his second wife Rosetta Mae "Rose" New Proffitt; his
daughter Josephine Preece, grandchildren Yolanda Childers and Duke Morgan; his great grandchildren Cory
Morgan, Peyton Childers and Brayden Lester; son-in-laws Winifred and Larry Dean; step daughter-in-law
Elaine; and his siblings Shorty, Essie, Frankie, Kenny, Bobby, Randall, Gilbert, Vennie, Dolly, Benjamin,
Marie, Claude and Clell. Survivors include four daughters Dianna (Powell) Morgan, Pauline (Alvin) Kennedy,
Lawona Preece, and Patty (Larry) Morgan; a son Ricky (Brenda) Proffitt; his siblings Corrine Thompson,
Burns Osborne, Wilma Cline, Hazel Conn, Thelma Massey, Jay, Hobert, Allen, Jonathan "Nub" and Lonnie
Blankenship; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; and twenty-one great great
grandchildren; step children Jimmie (Shirley) New, Joe Dale (DeAnna) New, Lillie (Walter Glenn) Hatfield,
Bobby (Nancy) New, Charlene Hankins, Troy (Ruth) New and Teddy New; eighteen step grandchildren;
twenty-six step great grandchildren; four step great great grandchildren; special neighbors Gary and Angie
Philpot and Geraldine McKinney and family; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral service
will be held at 12 pm on Wednesday December 2nd in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco,
WV with Rev. Larry Morgan and Rev. Tommy White officiating and Steve Brown ministering in song. He will
be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 5-9 pm on
Tuesday December 1st at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Gary Philpot, Jerry Cobb, Jeff Hood, Steve
Brown, Wayne Bailey and Shawn Bowman. Honorary pallbearers are Rev. Jerry Cook and Rev. Timmy
