the late Delbert and Alfie Green Osborne. Fannie loved spending time with her family and friends, hunting

husband of 56 years Paris Brown; father and mother-in-law Ashby and Lula Brown; three brothers Landon,
Lonnie and infant brother Jackie Lusk; eight brother-in-laws Donald, Verlin, Chelsie, Gary and infant

15, 1939 in Ravencliff, WV a son of the late Fred and Essie Pearl Polk Bane. Gene is a graduate of Oceana
High School and spent his life as a farmer. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three sisters
Jessie Thompson, Edna Bane and Margie Bane; three brothers Zane Bane, Bill Bane and his twin brother

Jeffery David Laxton, 59, of Oceana, WV entered his heavenly home on August 8, 2018 at 4:04AM at CAMC
with his loving family by his side. He was born on August 13, 1958 in Mullens, WV a son of the late Franklin
Junior and Wilda Allen Laxton. Jeff is a 1977 graduate of Pineville High School. He had many
accomplishments throughout his life. He is a faithful member of the Lillyhaven Baptist Church. He was
owner and operator of Corner Auto Sales for 33 years and the Mountaineer Drag Way for 9 years. He was
the youngest Mayor of the town of Oceana in 1983 and 1984. He was also a member of the Jaycee's for
many years. Jeff was a big part of the Wyoming County Toy Fund. He had a heart of Gold, he was a loving
husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed Drag Racing, spending time with his family and
friends. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Steve Laxton; infant brother James

Karen Loraine Cox Stanley, 67, of Mullens, WV passed away on Friday August 10, 2018 at Ruby Memorial
Hospital, Morgantown, WV. She was born on August 29, 1950 in Glendale, WV a daughter of the late Glen
and Evelyn Hannah Cox. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother Bob Cox. Survivors
include her loving husband of 46 years Lee Roy Stanley; a daughter Tracey Lynn (Eddie) Elkins of SC; a son
Bryan (Christy) Stanley of Pineville; a sister Mary (John) Stanley of CA; five grandchildren Brittany Marks,
Derrick Elkins, Austin Stanley, Hunter Stanley and Braxton Stanley;  a great grandchild due to be born this

Helena Mae Toler Brown, 72, of  Kopperston, WV lost her courageous battle with lung cancer on Saturday
August 11, 2018  at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. She was born on October 21, 1945 in Wyoming
County, WV a daughter of the late Lonnie and Pearl Osborne Toler. Helena was a retired hairdresser and
used to play softball where she was the pitcher. She loved her family, cats and flowers. She was a 1964
graduate of Oceana High School and a member of Bible Baptist Church where she loved to sing, play her
guitar and taught the Beginners and Primary class as a teacher / aide. In addition to her parents she is
preceded in death by her husband and love of her life of 46 years Raymond D. Brown; infant son; a sister;
and five brothers. Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters Lora Brown of Kopperston and
Carol (Lannie) Hoosier of Lynco; a step grandson Lannie  (Alicia Vanover) Hoosier, Jr. of Troutville, VA; two
brothers Carnell (Beth) Toler of Daniels and Raynell (Rita) Toler of Oak Hill; a sister-in-law Lula Belle Toler

Gracie Casteel Cook. Shelba attended several local churches. In addition to her parents she is preceded in

and Maxie Collins DeLong.  Ethel was a beautician for over 30 years and loved to go shopping. In addition

Barbara Sue Stone Wheeler, 66, of  Oceana, WV went home to be with the Lord August 20, 2018 at
Wyoming Nursing and Rehabilitation, New Richmond, WV following a long illness. Born July 17, 1952 in
Pineville, WV a daughter of the late William and Bernice Barrett Stone. Sue was a member of Faith Baptist
Church of Matheny and a 1971 graduate of Baileysville High School. She was a homemaker and loved her
family very much.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Chere Lynn Short
which she loved more than life; a brother Jerry Stone; and a sister Ivalene Trent. Those left to cherish her

13, 1949 in Beckley, WV a daughter of the late Virgil Walker and Beatrice Wray. Rose was of the Apostolic
Faith. She enjoyed feeding and watching her birds, spending time with her family, talking with her sister
Coetta and going to Pigeon Forge, TN.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband
Verlin Harless Atwell; a brother Clayton Wray; special nephew Randy Stafford; son-in-law Richard

Cheryl Lynn Trump, 48, of McGraws, WV went home to be with the Lord on Friday September 14, 2018 after
a long hard illness. She was born on March 9, 1970 in Stuart, FL a daughter of Shirley Ann Estep Lafferty of
McGraws and the late Jerry Roger Trump. Cheryl attended the Church of God. She suffered so much but
never complained, always smiling and lifting other people up even through her own suffering. In addition

Lafferty officiating. She will be laid to rest in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ravencliff, WV. Friends may gather
with the family from Noon until time of services on Wednesday September 19th at the funeral home.

Annette Lafferty Tilley, 56, of Glen Rogers, WV passed away on Tuesday September 18, 2018 in St. Mary's
Hospital, Huntington, WV. She was born on September 8, 1962 in Mullens, WV a daughter of the late Ross
"Whitt" and Shirley Douglas Lafferty. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a sister Cheryl
Griffith; and two brothers Mark and Eugene Lafferty. Survivors include her loving husband of 39 years
Joseph Tilley; two daughters Selina (Joey) Wimmer and Delilah (Chad) Brown; grandchildren Emaly Starr
Brown and Summer Rayne Brown; nieces and nephews Cecilie Bennett and son Knox, Daniel Lafferty,
Katherine McCartney, Whitney Ledsome, Samantha Lafferty and Cody Myers; special cousin Nancy
Mullens; special sister-in-law Juanita Lafferty; her fur baby Mimi; and a host of other loving family and
friends. Funeral services will be held at 6PM on Saturday September 22nd in the Chapel of Stafford Family
Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Jonathan Cresong officiating. Friends may gather with the family from
4PM until time of services on Saturday September 22, 2018 at the funeral home. In keeping with her
wishes she will be cremated following the services. The family sends special thanks to Hospice of Southern
West Virginia and staff.

Shirley Kay Hamilton Sanders, 71, of Glen Fork, WV passed away on Thursday September 20, 2018 at her
home. She was born on April 13, 1947 in Kentucky a daughter of the late Eldron and Elizabeth Tackett
Hamilton. Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years Jackie Sanders; a daughter Andrea (Eric)
Owens of McGraws; two sons Shawn (Kim) Sanders of Oceana and Michael (Amanda) Sanders of Lynco; a
sister Rebecca Adkins of Kopperston; two brothers Roger (Mia) Hamilton of TN and Gregory (Elizabeth)
Hamilton of TX; three grandchildren Zachary Belcher of Kopperston, Corey Lucas and Savannah Lucas
both of Glen Fork; and a host of other loving family and friends. In keeping with her wishes she will be
cremated  and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to
