Ricky David Tilley, 61, of Shady Spring, WV passed away on Saturday May 9, 2020 at his home. He was born on
April 11, 1959 in Mullens, WV the son of Thurman Bruce and Mary Louise Brown Tilley of Glen Fork.  Ricky is a
United States Army Veteran and a 1977 graduate of Glen Rogers High School. In addition to his parents survivors
include two daughters April Lynn (Ryan) Derieux of Laurel Fork, VA and Sierra Elizabeth (Companion Michael
Mitchem) Tilley of Mullens, WV; a sister Tammy (Mike) Sandy of Bud; two brothers Terry (Candi) Tilley of
Fayetteville and Thurman (Sherrie) Tilley, Jr. of MacArthur; seven grandchildren Marybeth, Genevieve, and
Anastasia  Derieux, Kayden Casteel, Tyler Walker, Isabelle and Oliver Mitchem; and a host of other loving family

Audra Ann Evans, age 70, passed away peacefully at her home in Oceana on May 12, 2020.  She was born December
16, 1949 to Chester and Mamie Toler of Kopperston. Audra was survived by numerous family members and
friends.  She graduated from Oceana High School in 1967 and attended Marshall University.  She co-owned and
operated Evans & Evans Funeral Directors, serving as Treasurer until 1998.  Audra also owned and operated
popular clothing stores in Oceana, namely Buttons, Bows & Lace and Panache. All who loved her dearly will never
forget her tenacity, wit, charm, grace, and underlying love for them. Private services will be held at Roselawn

Margret “Kathleen” Vance, 55, of Clear Fork, WV, passed away on Tuesday May 12, 2020 at home from
complications of lung disease. She was born October 11, 1964 at Fort Belvoir, Fairfax, VA to George JR Green and
the late Bonnie J Scarberry Green Elkins. Kathleen made her home in Clear Fork, WV, captivated by the stillness
and peace the surrounding mountains and countryside brought her. Her greatest joy in life was sharing in the love
and laughter of family and friends. She prioritized quality time with them, always sharing jokes, memories, and
stories of her humble upbringing and life experiences. In addition to her family and friends, she found much
comfort and loyalty in the love of her fur babies GiGi, Pebbles, and Sunshine, sharing in snuggles and supplying
treats every moment they had together. Beyond these things, Kathleen acknowledged that the greatest joys in
this life only pointed her in the direction of an eternal life promised to those who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord
and Savior. Kathleen was adamant about sharing her faith in the midst of difficulty. She gladly shared her own
personal story of transformation to speak over those found in the midst of suffering, struggling, or question
filled seasons to find hope again. With much anticipation, Kathleen treasured the hope promised ahead and
looked forward to the moment when her faith would be made sight. Kathleen was blessed with the love and
support of a large extended family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. In addition
to her mother she is preceded in death by parents, Lola and Henry Goodman; a brother, Dale Goodman; and two
sisters, Beatrice Goodman and Lola Michelle Davis. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 24

Wanda Toler Golden, 82, of French Creek, WV passed away on Friday May 15, 2020 at Ruby Memorial Hospital,
Morgantown, WV. She was born on February 26, 1938 in Sunhill, WV a daughter of the late Everett "Jack" and
Beulah Toler. She was a homemaker and caregiver who held us all together. She was greatly loved and will be

Georgia Snouse Vaught. Myrtle is the last member of her family. She worked at the Pineville Coca Cola Plant,
Goodson's Supermarket and First Community Bank of Pineville from which she retired from. In addition to her

She was born on January 16, 1941 in Princewick, WV a daughter of the late Allan Thomas and Golda Mae Whitt

Maude Kennedy Gibson. She was a homemaker and enjoyed going into the mountains.  In addition to her parents

Thurman was a retired coal miner, Dad and avid sportsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and gardening. In addition

Clarence Ray West, 44, of Coal City, WV entered eternal rest on Friday May 22, 2020. He was born on July 28,
1975 in Man, WV a son of Clarence Harper of Long Branch and the late Rachel Daugherty. Ray was a kind and
simple man, with a loving and giving heart, he touched the hearts and lives of many with his loving kindness. Ray
loved his family and was always there for them. His favorite thing to do, was to spend time with his family and
friends. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers and working on them, and working on his vehicles. He was always ready
to welcome someone in and to lend a helping hand to others. He brought joy and laughter to all and could fit into
any crowd. Ray was loved by a host of family and friends and he loved them. Some that he had a special place in
his heart was his nephews and nieces Jody "Shorty" Thomas, James "Chub" Davis, Edie West, Brian Thomas,
Clarence "Mut" Browning, Machelle Kenneda, Randell "Rat" Kenneda, Travis Thomas, Cody Davis, Tyler "Punk"
West, Kaya Davis and Kendra "Mag" Lawrence. In addition to his loving mother Rachel he is preceded in death by
grandparents James and Edie Daugherty and McKinley and Nancy Harper; a brother to him, Jody Thomas; and

mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother Emma Jane Davis Wilson, 89, of
Kopperston, WV entered into her Heavenly home. She was born November 21st, 1930 at Maynard, WV a
daughter of the late Otis Garrett and Nora Kincaid Davis. Emma was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother,
grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Emma was the sweetest angel to walk on earth.

Frances Louise Johnston Thomas, 88, of Brier Creek, WV departed this world surrounded by her loving family to
enter her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. Born October 19, 1931 in Roderfield, WV, she was the
daughter of the late Onnie Dee and Thelma Mae Jones Johnston. Frances was an amazing wife, Mom, Mamaw
and Granny. Her love for her family was incomparable. She was well known for her wonderful home cooked
meals and she always put everyone before herself. Her life was spent taking care of her family, home, and
friends. Frances was a long time member of the Brier Creek Tabernacle. In addition to her parents, Frances is
proceeded in death by her loving husband of 60 years William Jay “Pete” Thomas; three brothers Franklin,
Stephen and Ralph; and two sisters, Kitty Jean and Eleanor. Those that are left to cherish her memories include

General Hospital, Beckley, WV. He was born on January 26, 1938 a son of the late Henry and Malta Queen Mathis.
Johnny is a member of the Oceana Freewill Baptist Church and the UMWA. He is a United States Air Force

Rebecca Lynn "Beck" Hanshaw, 46, of Pineville, WV passed away unexpectedly on Saturday May 30th at her
home. She was born on October 25, 1973 in Mullens, WV the daughter of Alice Toler Hanshaw of Oceana and the
late Teddy Hanshaw. Beck is a 1992 graduate of Baileysville High School. She worked at the Dollar General Store
for 20 years. She was known for her hard work, giving heart and an unwavering love for her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father. In addition to her mother survivors include four brothers Rickey Hanshaw
of Oceana, Jeffrey Hanshaw and wife Jeanette of TN, Wyatt Hanshaw of OH and Jamie Hanshaw and wife Kelli of
Oceana; her lifetime companion David Adkins; fifteen nieces and nephews; eleven great nieces and nephews; and
a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday June 5th at Sunhill Freewill
Baptist Church, Sunhill, WV with Rev. Jay Blankenship officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her father in the
Community Cemetery, Coal Mountain, WV.  Friends may gather with the family on Thursday June 4th at the

Brenda Bernece Browning Keneda, 69, of Foundation Fork, WV went home to be the Lord on Saturday May 30,
2020 at Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan, WV. She was born on January 10, 1951 in Mingo County, WV a
daughter of the late Ola and Zola Pearl Walls Browning. Bernece is a member of the Apostolic House of Faith. She
loved to crochet, camping, and Sunday dinners with her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her granddaughter Toni V. Blankenship; a great
granddaughter Zacari Miller; five brothers Terry, Chris, Gene, Dale and Eddie Browning; two sisters Melissa and
Neva Browning; two step-fathers Johnny Blankenship and Douglas New; a daughter-in-law Shannon Keneda;
son-in-law Tony "Buck" Blankenship; her mother and father-in-law Velvie and Jason Kenneda; and a
god-daughter Sheena Lucas.  Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 54 years Albert J.
Keneda; two daughters Tessie Webb and husband Tommy and Pearl Lawrence and husband Glen; four sons
Wesley Keneda, Todd Keneda and wife Malena, Tim Keneda and Eddie Keneda and wife Tonya; a sister Dottie
Lester; a brother Boyd Browning and Lloyd Browning; two god-sons Scotty Browning and wife Ronnie Sue and
Terry Paul Browning and wife Stephanie; special friend Juanita Morgan; twenty-three grandchildren; thirteen
great grandchildren; special sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Gary Keith Spears, 69, of Pineville, WV passed away on Tuesday June 2, 2020 in Beckley ARH, Beckley, WV. He
was born on April 13, 1951 in Pikeville, KY a son of the late Virgil Ray and Hannah Mae Newsome Spears. Gary is
of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings Ray, Jerry, Bob, Gail and Don;
a sister Nell; and a brother-in-law Ronnie Workman. Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years Sheila Ruth
Workman Spears; a son Garry Keith (Kimberly) Spears of Mocksville, NC; a sister Nancy (Rollo) Johnson of
Welston, OH; four grandchildren Shawna Lucion, Hannah Mae Mullins, Samantha Spears and Kristen Hall; four
great grandchildren Christopher, Cadie, Joey and Willow; two brother-in-laws Jackie Workman and Russell
(Norma) Workman all of NC; three sister-in-laws Carolyn Spears of MI, Debra (Kenny) Dancy of NC, Carol
Workman of NC; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. In keeping with his wishes he

me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.  Timmie Argel Lusk, 54, of Oceana, WV entered into rest in
the arms of Jesus on Friday June 5, 2020 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV following a long illness. He was
born on January 22, 1966 in Logan, WV a son of Argel and Sharon Lusk of Cyclone. Timmie was a faithful member
of the Sunhill Freewill Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. He enjoyed spending time with his family, enjoyed
camping and the outdoors. He was a loving husband, father and son. He is preceded in death by his paternal
grandparents Marvin and Winnie Lusk; maternal grandparents Wayne and Allene Lusk; and a nephew Lucas Lane
Lusk. In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Kelli Blankenship Lusk and
their daughter Marlee of Oceana; father and mother-in-law Jonathan "Nub" and Lois Blankenship of Crouch's
Farm; a sister Delinda (Scottie) Boothe; a brother Corky (Betty Jo)  Lusk all of Cyclone; two special sisters-in-law,

Clarence Arvin Kirk, 65, of Logan, WV went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday June 7, 2020 at Logan
Regional Medical Center, Logan, WV. He was born on August 1, 1954 in Logan, WV a son of the late Oscar and
Gereldine Fields Kirk. Clarence enjoyed attending church and playing bass. He loved the Lord and his church
family. He is a member of the Woodville Community and Apostolic Faith Tabernacle church's. He was loved and
respected by all that knew him. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister Vanessa Kirk; two
daughters Vanessa Bragg and Vanessa Shively ; and son-in-law Randy Shively. Those left to honor his memory are
his loving wife of 45 years Carol Kirk; two brothers Randy (Lola) Kirk of NC and Oscar Kirk of Logan; a sister

Rev. Donald Lee White, 78, of Cyclone, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday June 8, 2020 following a
short illness. He was born on February 3, 1942 in McComas, WV a son of the late Raymond Issac and Mary Francis
Rutledge White. Donald is a member and founder of the Gillman Bottom House of Prayer in 1988. In 1996 his best
friend Donald Sparks became the new Pastor. He was a Pastor and Evangelist for over 50 year with many souls
saved. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Lilly Keith White. Survivors include his
loving wife of 52 years Emma Brown White; two sons Donald Lee White, Jr. of Tampa, FL and Paul (Diana) White
of Burleson, TX; two sisters Lovette (Johnny) White Milton of Crown and Elva (Michael) White Roark of
Robinette; four brothers Raymond (Betty) White, Jr. of Cleveland, OH, Carl (Lois) White of Beckley, Tommy
(Pauline) White of Cyclone and Garrett (Mary) White of KY; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral

Donald Lee Lester, of Steeles Hollow, WV passed away on Thursday June 11, 2020 at his home. He was born on
March 13, 1940 in Hanover, WV a son of the late Woodrow Lorenza "Woody" and Lois Nichatie England Lester. In
addition  to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Clinton "Jr." Lester; and a sister Zandra Holleron.
Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years Debra Joyce Mabes Lester; a son Richard Lee Lester of Columbus,
OH; a step son Ricky Lee Miller, Jr. of Wytheville, VA; a sister Claudine (John) McGrady of Mineral Wells; two
brothers Toney (Roma) Lester and Verner "Dale" (Christine) Lester all of Steeles Hollow; and a host of other
loving family and friends. Graveside services will be held at 12 pm on Saturday June 13th at Lester Cemetery,

Ronald C. Samples, 78, of Oceana, passed away on June 9, 2020, at Duke University Medical center in Durham,
North Carolina.  Surrounded by his loving children, he slipped away to a Heavenly reunion with his beloved wife
Dorthina. Mr. Samples was born on August 28, 1941 in Oceana, the son of the late Riley and Anna Samples.  
Except for his service in the US Army, he lived his life in Oceana, where he raised his family, made lasting
friendships, golfed with his son and brothers and served his Lord. A 1960 Graduate of Oceana High School, he
served in the Army for 4 years before returning to Oceana, where he married Dorthina Woolwine.  Together they
had three children.  He was a retired electrician and a member of the United Mine workers of America, as well as
a skilled carpenter know for his beautifully-crafted furniture.   He was a Deacon at Oceana Freewill Baptist
Church and a beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. In addition to his loving wife, he is
preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Green.  He is survived by his daughter Kelli Samples of Albemarle,
North Carolina; son Todd Samples of Pikeville, Kentucky; daughter Rebecca Green and her companion, Brian
Ritchie of Gold Hill, North Carolina; grandchildren Jonathan, Kaitlyn, Zachary, Allie, Nick and  Abram; brothers
Donald Samples and his wife Audrey; Eddie Samples and his wife Brenda, Danny Samples, and Teddy Samples;
numerous nieces Kris, Lydia, Karrie, Kym, Katie, Sara and Anna; and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held
at 1PM on Monday June 15th at the Oceana Freewill Baptist Church, Oceana, WV with Pastor Jackie Grimmett

Randle Eugene Paugh, 58, of Mallory, WV passed away on Monday June 8, 2020 at Logan Regional Medical Center,
Logan, WV. He was born on April 11, 1962 in Man, WV a son of the late Jack Lee and Georgia Mae Brickles Paugh. In
addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Sylvia Pack Paugh a son Jeremy Wilson. Survivors
include two daughters Heather Wilson, the apple of his eye and Brandy Johnston; a son Lindsay Brumfield; three
granddaughters Destine Fraley, Bobbi Ann Lester and Brittney Lester; four grandsons Brandon Lester, Carson.

Cyclone and Shirley Harrison of Cyclone; a brother William "Bill" Paugh of Mallory; Teresa Wilson, the love of his

Herbert Junior New, 66, of Ikes Fork, WV passed away on June 16, 2020 at his home. He was born on March 31,
1954 in Welch, WV a son of Geraldine Vance New of Brenton and the late Eugene New. Herbert retired from US
Steel Pinnacle Mine and is a member of the UMWA. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by a sister Ina
Jean New; and nephew Johnny Lee New. In addition to his mother survivors include  his companion and caretaker
Barbara Facello Bishop; two daughters Jaime New of Beckley and Sara (Mitch) Mills of Parkersburg; three sisters
Ethel Marie (Whitie Lester) Toler of Hanover, Margie Sammons of Bradshaw and Shelby Sammons of Hanover;
two brothers Lawrence (Delana) Sammons of Hanover and Joe (Karen) Simpson of Brookville, PA; one grandchild

of Crouch's Farm, WV transitioned from this life to the next on June 15, 2020, surrounded by his family after a
five and half year battle with colon cancer. Rob was born July 20, 1952 to the late Robert C. and Bobbie Jean
Crouch. He lived his whole life on Crouch's Farm. He was a 1970 graduate of Oceana High School and attended
Beckley College before deciding to go into the coal mines where he worked thirty-four years. He loved to deer
and turkey hunt and spend time with his friends. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a beloved
daughter Desiree; a brother Mike Crouch; a nephew Lucas Marcum; and a dear aunt June Farren whom he loved
like a mother. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-six years Letha; a daughter Calista Trent; grandchildren
Finley Crouch, Kylee and Dylan Trent, whom he loved with all his heart; an aunt Phyllis Clark; sister-in-law Lana
Marcum; several nieces and nephews and too many friends to mention; his very dear friend Doug Trull, who
fought beside him all the way, the true meaning of friend. In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated. A
Memorial service will be held at 5:00 on Saturday June 27, 2020 at the Clear Fork Valley Baptist Church with
Pastor Erwin Gregory officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 3:00 until service time at the church

Coetta Lynn Wray Atwell, 68, of Oceana, WV went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 19, 2020 at her
home. She was born on May 2, 1952 in Welch, WV a daughter of the Beatrice Wray. Coetta is a member of the
Joseph Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sister Rosetta "Rose" Atwell
who she loved talking to; two brothers Clayton and Hershel Wray; mother and father-in-law William Lawrence
and Gladys Augusta Atwell; Daisy Mae Wray and Harry Belcher who lovingly raised her. Survivors include her
husband of 54 years Justin Wayne "Duke" Atwell, Sr.; a daughter Stephanie Lynn (Jonathan) Atwell of Beckley;
two sons Justin Wayne (Katrina) Atwell, Jr. of Oceana and Lonnie Ray (June) Atwell of Pittsburg, PA; two sisters
Jackie Craddock and Volita Vanber both of MD; a brother Henry Conner of MD; six grandchildren Brandi Long,
Brittney (Michael) Atwell, Tiffany (Chad) Kemp, Austin Atwell, Taylor Stepp and Jason Alex Atwell; and a host of

Geneva Carol "Sally" Mitchell, 82, of Marianna, WV passed away on Saturday June 20, 2020 in Raleigh General
Hospital, Beckley, WV. She was born on December 12, 1937 in Baileysville, WV a daughter of the late Woodrow
and Lillian Ellis Short. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Paul Mitchell. Survivors
include two sons Steven Paul (Evie Josetta) Mitchell of Lexington, NC and Gregory Dean (Eunice) Mitchell of
Brenton; two brothers Roger (Judith) Fortner of Huntersville, NC and Jimmy (Margie) Short of FL; three
grandchildren Heather (Brennan) Worsencroft, Holly (Dennis)  Roark, and Gregory Paul Mitchell; four great
grandchildren Braylon Stephens, Carlos Alveraze, Liam Worsencroft and Isabella Roark; and a host of other loving

Edward “Ed” A. Harless, Jr., 79, of Oceana, West Virginia, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020, at Bower’s Hospice
House following a short but courageous battle with cancer.  He was born on August 6, 1940, in Gilbert, WV to
Bino and Macie Elkins-Harless. Ed was larger than life with a boisterous personality and an air of confidence that
is rarely ever duplicated. Some of Ed’s proudest accomplishments included being a businessman, barber,
politician, one of the areas greatest boxing coaches, an avid fisherman, and golfer.  Ed served his country in the
Army National Guard from 1964-1967. An uncompromising pillar in the community, Ed will be greatly missed by
many.  He is survived by his wife, Peggy Harless, daughter Joyel (Scottie) Finley of Milton, WV; son, Parrish
Harless of Las Vegas, Nevada, “adopted” daughter, Maria Finley of Milton, WV; and a sister-in-law and nephew,
Sandra and Dwayne (Colleen) Gilbert. In addition to his parents, Ed’s wife of 47 years, Freda, proceeded him in
death. The family wishes to express their warmest thanks to Jeff Prichard (our rock), Hospice of Southern West
Virginia, Bower’s Hospice House, and Doctors Paul Conley and Andrew Petterson of Plateau Medical Center,  for

Mica Dawn Walker, 37, of Oceana, WV, passed away Monday, June 22, 2020, at Ruby Memorial Hospital,
Morgantown, WV following a short illness.  She was born on April 12, 1983 in Beckley, WV a daughter of Michael
Lee "Mike" and Teresa Darlene Cook Walker of Oceana. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Henry and
Lola Walker and Helen Walker, Edward and Hanner Cook; an aunt Doris "Vainy" Cook; and two uncles Robert Cook
and Roger Cline. In addition to her parents survivors include a sister Hope Walker of Sunhill; a brother Joshua
(Leann) Walker of Oceana; an uncle Michael Cook of Oceana; two aunts Judy Cline of Pineville and Debra (Greg)

Ellena D. Belcher Massey, 71, of Oceana, WV, went home to be with the Lord on June 25, 2020 at Bowers Hospice
House, Beckley, WV. She was born on March 12, 1949 in Oceana a daughter of the late Ralph and Hazel Hughes
Belcher. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers Dennis and Ronald Belcher; a sister
Judy Belcher; brother-in-law Tommy Marsh; and nephew Taylor Cook. Survivors include her husband Roger
Massey; three sisters Anna Marsh, Sharon (Wilson) Proffitt and Karen (Ronnie) Woolridge; a brother Jimmy
(Crystal) Belcher;  and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. Ellena is loved by her family
and will be missed by all. She considered her nieces and nephews her children. She loved them so much and they

Earl Eugene Thomas, 68, of Bedford, VA, passed away on Thursday June 25, 2020 surrounded by his adoring
family. He was born on November 16, 1951 in Richlands, VA a son of the late Rufus Thomas and Edna  and Fred
Witt. Earl is a member of the UMWA from his many years in the coal mines of West Virginia. He loved spending
time with his family, taking it easy enjoying their company, riding four wheelers, horseback riding, and camping.
He also had a passion for guns and hunting. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a granddaughter
Sabrina Thomas; a brother Dewy Thomas; and a good friend Mack Hall. He is survived by his loving wife of 45
years Linda Hall Thomas; four sons Mickle (Jessica), Lee (Crystal), Stevie (Tori) and Kevin; eight grandchildren
Rebecca (Gabe), Cody, Elizabeth (Trey), Jacob, Coleman, Alexander, Leland and Haleigh; a brother James
(Brenda); his faithful dog Killer; special friends of the family Pam and Kailey; and a host of nieces, nephews and
other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held 8 pm on Monday June 29th at the Myrtle Valley
Church, Hensley, WV with Bro. Joey Wright officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 6 pm until time
of the service on Monday at the church. In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated following the service. The

Linda Sue Toler Walls, 73, of Cyclone, WV, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 27, 2020.
Leaving this world as an angel. She was born on September 14, 1946. Linda's life was devoted to traveling and
singing for the glory of God. She was such a joy and wonderful person to be around. A light to us all. A wonderful,
caring, loving mother and sister who loved her family and church family dearly. Those there to welcome her home
are her loving husband Norman Gene Walls; parents Willard and Evelyn Paynter Toler; four brothers Mark, Teddy,
Bobby Dale and Ronald Toler; and a sister Glenda Toler Daniels. Those left to cherish her memory are her children
Kathy Walls of NC, Sandra Walls of OH, Norman (Melissa) Walls, Pamela (Timothy) Lusk and Philip (Andrea) Rose

and Vickie (Allen) Brown of Cyclone; an aunt Rosie Perry; a step mother Jewel Toler; eight grandchildren; seven
great grandchildren; a very special sister in Christ Janet Rollins; along with a host of family and friends. A
celebration of her life will begin at 12 pm on Friday July 3rd at Toler Baptist Church with Rev. Clarence Gibson and
Billy Ray Gibson officiating. She will be laid to rest in Cook Cemetery. Friends may gather with the family after 5

Bernice Opal Brown Harless, 90, of Oceana, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday June 29, 2020 at
Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. She was born on July 16, 1929 in Poor Valley, VA a daughter of the late
James Edward and Mary Ada Lambert Brown. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith. In addition to her
parents she is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Marshall Harless; three sisters Trula, Maeola and Rosie; and
three brothers Ralph, Nelson and Herman. Survivors include a daughter Mary Lynn (Michael) Browning of Yulee,
FL; four sons Paul Harless of Matheny, Roy (Mary Beth) Harless of Norwalk, OH, Allen (Pam) Harless of Isaban
and Kenneth Harless of GA; nine grandchildren Angela, Tiffany Joy, Jason, Jonathon, Rachel, Joshua, Matthew,
Jordan and Destiny; twelve great grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral service
will be held at 2 pm on Sunday July 5th at the Promise Land Church, Oceana, WV with Pastor David Johnson
officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 1 pm until time of services on Sunday at the church. In

William Kermit Justice, 86, of Indian Creek, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday June 30, 2020 at his
home. He was born on November 28, 1933 in Asco, WV a son of the late Floyd and Margie Watts Justice. He is a
member of the first Baptist Church in Welch and attends the Independent Church of God at Clear Fork. He is a
United States Korean Marine Veteran. He is the last surviving member of his family. In addition to his parents he
is preceded in death by a son Timothy Clark Justice; and five sisters Nannie, Myrtle, Mary Doris, Eda and Thelma
Lou. Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years Francis Louise Mills Justice; a daughter Belinda Kay (Michael)
Bailey of Indian Creek; a son William Keith (Dorothy) Justice of Indian Creek; a granddaughter Tabitha Jane
(Kevin) Lester of Indian Creek; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm
on Monday July 6th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Pastor Hannibal Blankenship,

Rickey Lee Stewart, 60, of Matheny, WV, passed away on Sunday June 28, 2020 at Bowers Hospice House,
Beckley, WV. He was born on March 3, 1960 in Mullens, WV a son of Cora Lee McKinney Stewart of Matheny and
the late Neely Ulysses Stewart. In addition to his mother survivors include his loving wife of 29 years Priscilla Ann
Staton Stewart; his children Shawn (James), Melinda (Will), Ronnie, Mandie, Becky, Tisha (Mike) and Ashley
(Patrick); grandchildren Zack (Cierra), Matt, Connor, Mikey, Jasper, Madison, Jacob, Mackenzi, Evan, Landon and
Liam; two great grandchildren Everleigh and Jagger; two brothers Allen (Donna) Stewart and Keith (Laura)
Stewart; a sister Shirley (Matthew) Burns;  special nephew Mark; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Charles Conley "Connie" Bailey, 65, of Hinton, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday June 29, 2020 at
McDowell Nursing and Rehab, Gary, WV. He was born on January 13, 1955 in Welch, WV a son of  Shelby Mitchell
Bailey of Hinton and the late James Edward Bailey. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by a two
nephews Eddie Lee Wills and Michael Meadows; a niece Yolanda Meadows.  Survivors include two sons Erik Bailey
and Daniel Bailey both of NC; a step daughter Theresa Kuhn of NC; two sisters Lisa Wills and Debbie Meadows
both of Hinton; a brother Terry Ray Mitchell of Shannon Mill Creek; two grandchildren Erika and Kali; and a host

Bobby Lee Steele, 35, of Panther, WV, passed away on Tuesday June 30, 2020 in Pikeville Medical Center,
Pikeville, KY. He was born on June 15, 1985 in Logan, WV a son of Quincy Steele of Panther and the late Irene
McCoy Steele. Bobby loved riding four wheelers, fishing and spending time with family and friends. In addition to
his mother he is preceded in death by a son Cameron Mitchell; a brother Jamie Steele; grandparents J. B. and
Helen Cline and Louie and Elizabeth Steele; uncles Roger Steele, Keister Steele, Vincil Powell and Irvin Powell;
aunts Judy Belle Steele and Linda Keene. In addition to his father those left to cherish his memory are his children
Brittany and Kaleb Mitchell; his step mother Patsy Steele; sisters Melissa and Jessie Price; brothers Denny and

Thomas Edward "Tommy" Fleenor, 74, of Oceana, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday June 30, 2020
at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 20, 1946 in Kopperston, WV a son of the
late Thomas Garland and Goldie Eder Spears Fleenor. Tommy is a United States Air Force Veteran and a member
of the Disabled American Veterans. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son Eddy Lee Fleenor;
two brothers Paul Fleenor and Danny Fleenor; a sister Nancy Dixon;  his father and mother-in-law Shallus and
Martha Ellen Elkins; and several uncles and aunts. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 51
years Barbara Ann Elkins Fleenor; a son T. J. Fleenor of Oceana; two sisters Charlotte Maynor of Oceana and Jean
Ann (Roy) Castle of Castlewood, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. Funeral

Nancy Jane Rollins Milam, 88, of Pineville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday July 2, 2020. Nancy
was born in Raleigh County, WV on October 12, 1931 to Jonathan and Rosa Lafferty Trump Rollins. In addition to
her parents she is preceded in death by all of her brothers Hugh and Wilson Trump and Jack, Jim and Jonathan
Darrell Rollins; her sisters Ocie Ballard and Augusta "Gussy" Walker; nephew Johnny Walker; the father of her
children, Ernest "Casey" Milam; sons Paul and Randy Hugh "Huey" Milam; and a granddaughter Pauline Allen.

Medical Center, Logan, WV. He was born on November 17, 1961 in Pineville, WV a son of the late Raymond and
Claudia Toler. he enjoyed riding a four wheeler and playing his guitar with Marvin and Danny Morgan, Tommy
Hatfield and his sister Gennie Trull. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings Raymond
Toler, Jr., Virginia Toler, Larry Toler, Gerald Toler, Murphy Toler, Christopher Toler, Gloria Toler and Tammy
Toler; and a brother-in-law Roger Morgan. Survivors include six sisters Donna Spurlock, Josephine Baker,
